Mrs. Mai Anh was appointed Director of International Coopertation and IMO Department, Viet Nam Maritime Administration (VINAMARINE), Ministry of Transport of Viet Nam from 21 November 2021. Prior to this, Mrs. Mai Anh was Deputy Director International Cooperation Department from 2008 to 2017, then was Head of Vietnam Liaison Office to IMO of VINAMARINE from 2017 to 2020.

Mrs. Mai Anh was appointed to be the National focal point of Vietnam to IMO since 2017; the Single National focal point of IMSAS Scheme since 2019; and other international organizations and agencies.

Mrs. Mai Anh was the National focal point of IMO/Norad Project on Marine Environment Protection of the South-East Asian Seas (MEPSEAS) and also was nominated as Deputy leader of National’s Task force for implementation this project in Vietnam from 2018-2022. She also participated in the “Rethinking Plastics – Circular Economy Solutions to Marine Litter” project Sponsor by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) from 2019-2022.

She was a Council Member from 2008 – 2013 of APEC Port Service Network (APSN) from 2008 to 2013. She appointed to be MEG Deputy Chair of Maritime Expert Group, APEC for the semester 2022-2024 on 22 July 2022.

She took the Government Schoolarship of Master of Science of Maritime and Transportation Management, Antwerpen University, Belgium in 2004.
